Overview
VIZI is a public-facing paid-voting platform created to solve credibility and transparency issues around nominee voting for campus-wide social and award events”. The platform allowed students and the general public to securely cast paid votes for nominees while ensuring accurate vote counting and real-time results.
The Challenge
The major challenge was building trust in a paid-voting system within a student environment where vote manipulation and lack of transparency were common concerns. The interface needed to be simple enough for first-time users while clearly communicating payment status, vote confirmation, and nominee standings.
The Process
Worked with event organizers to understand voting rules, nominee structures, and payment workflows specific to campus pageantry events.
Designed and implemented intuitive voting flows that guided users from nominee selection to payment confirmation.
Built real-time vote tracking and feedback states to assure users that their votes were successfully recorded.
Ensured mobile-first responsiveness, as the majority of users accessed the platform via mobile devices.
Focused on clear UI feedback for payment success, vote count updates, and nominee rankings to reinforce trust.
The Outcome
VIZI successfully provided a transparent and reliable voting experience for campus pageantry events. The platform reduced disputes around vote counting, increased participation, and gave organizers a dependable system for managing paid voting at scale.
